Second and Fourth Fridays

This new club is designed to provide a forum for ongoing discussions and explorations of a wide range of religious studies topics. All OLLI members with an interest are welcome, including those of any faith traditions as well as seekers, secular humanists, agnostics, and atheists. The participants will shape the club’s agenda, format and focus. No topic will be considered too controversial or off-limits for discussion. Some of the initial topics to be explored will include the following:

• What principles do religions hold in common and where are the differences?
• Are some actions inherently good or evil - or does it depend on the situation?
• How does one identify a “sacred text?”

This club is designed for those who are in the intermediate stage of understanding and speaking Spanish—further along than 1-2-3 and A-B-C, but not fluent. The club members leading a particular class will choose the subject and prepare the lesson for that class. Members will not have to participate beyond their comfort level. NOTE: There will be one meeting in the first half of September before the fall term starts; date and time will be announced.

We welcome all members interested in using the iPad, from beginners to seasoned users. Each meeting will address both technical and how-to topics of interest to our members. Time will be allocated at each meeting to address questions on any iPad-related topic. More details are available on the club section of the OLLI website.
