Concluding thoughts

  • Question: How to use video in PowerPoint presentations at OLLI?
    • Answer: Search Google ... or better yet, search YouTube! One of the top search results is "Embed YouTube Video into PowerPoint 2007" at http://tinyurl.com/6zhxzl
  • Know going in that video editing requires attention to detail and patience ... and, if you are a perfectionist, considerable time (just like Photoshop)
  • Get your "feet wet" by taking some video: use whatever you now have or buy an inexpensive camcorder
    • It can be fun and allows you to exercise your creativity, and you might like it
    • Try editing with free software such as Microsoft Movie Maker or Apple iMovie
    • Try uploading the movie to YouTube and send the link to family/friends
